Academy 4 – Manchester University Students Union
Academy 4 – is the most recent of the academy venues. This venue, by the name of Club Academy, is hosted in a cosy basement and is the smallest of the Union’s academy venues. Club Academy regularly hosts unsigned bands and artists and is located next to Oxford Street, South Manchester.
The Academy venues are the city’s most regularly visited live music gig nights, which opened in 1990. In the past 16 years they have hosted and promoted some of the biggest names in the music business.
